The CCMT09T308M XPK130 is a robust, 80° diamond-shaped insert built for stability in demanding applications. The chipbreaker is specifically designed to handle deeper cuts and higher feed rates, making it the ideal choice for roughing out steel components before a final finishing pass.
Key Features:
Grade XPK130: An advanced CVD-coated grade featuring a multi-layer Alumina coating. It is engineered for high-speed machining of Steel (P) and Cast Iron (K), providing excellent protection against crater wear and deformation under high heat.
Chipbreaker: This "Medium-Roughing" geometry features a reinforced cutting edge. It excels at breaking tough, stringy chips during heavier cuts, which protects your workpiece and tool holder from damage.
0.8mm Nose Radius: Provides a high degree of edge strength. It is more resistant to chipping than a 0.4mm radius and allows for a significantly higher feed rate while still achieving a respectable surface finish.
High Stability: The 09T3 thickness (3.97mm) allows the insert to absorb the vibrations and forces generated during aggressive medium-roughing operations
