The SDMT 120412 is a robust square insert that offers four stable cutting edges. Featuring the MH chipbreaker, it is specifically designed to handle heavy chip loads and high-feed milling operations. The XPK110 grade provides the thermal protection needed for high-speed dry machining.

Grade XPK110: A premium CVD-coated grade optimized for Steel (P) and Cast Iron (K). The thick alumina coating ($Al_2O_3$) acts as a heat shield, preventing the carbide substrate from deforming under the intense temperatures of heavy milling.
MH (Medium-Heavy) Chipbreaker: This geometry features a reinforced cutting edge with a specifically designed rake angle to manage thick chips. It is perfect for roughing where high reliability and edge strength are required.
1.2mm Nose Radius: The "12" radius (1.2mm) provides extreme edge toughness, making it resistant to chipping when entering or exiting the workpiece, especially in interrupted cuts.
